High-ticket masterminds before you have traction Paying hundreds a month to be in a room with people who are further ahead can feel useful until you realise you're spending runway on networking instead of building. Not the right move at this stage.
Premium curated peer groups These are genuinely excellent and genuinely inaccessible. Most require £1 million-plus in annual revenue to qualify. If you're building toward that, you don't qualify yet. There is nothing curated designed for the stage you're actually at. Until now.

A room designed to actually work.

The Real Business Club runs on one principle: structured beats unstructured, every time. Connection isn't left to chance. The format is deliberate, the membership is curated, and the one rule (give first, no pitching) holds from the first event.

Every month, the same evening runs. Open networking with material to work with, a structured peer session where each person gets proper time on their actual bottleneck, and an asks-and-gives session where specific requests meet the room's specific capabilities. Then open networking again. Now everyone has context.

Name tags with first name and one line: what you're building. No job titles. 45 minutes to meet people before the structured part begins.

Welcome
Who we are, the one rule (give first, no pitching), one community update. Five minutes. Then we get into the work.

Real Talk
The part that makes this different. Groups of five or six at tables. Each person gets five minutes: two on the business and the current bottleneck, three for the table to respond. A host keeps time. You leave with actual input on your actual problem. Not advice from someone who doesn't know your situation. Input from people who do.

Asks and Gives
Whole room. Stand up with one specific ask (an introduction, a recommendation, a hire) or one give (a connection, an offer, a resource). Specific beats vague. The MC enforces it.

Now everyone has material. You know who's stuck on what. You find the person whose bottleneck you can solve, or the person who just made the ask you can answer.

Next date announced. Done. Within 48 hours, the asks-and-gives list goes out to all members and that month's curated introductions are made.

The conversation continues between events
A members-only space where the asks-and-gives list lives after every meetup, questions get answered, and the member directory lets you find people by what they're building. Events are listed and booked here too.

Monthly, specific, personal
Each month, David makes introductions between members, matched on what you're building and what you're looking for. Not a bulk email to the list. A considered introduction to one specific person worth knowing.

Free doesn't mean open door
Applications are reviewed. The bar is intent and behaviour: actually running or building a business, there to give as well as get. No recruiters, no pitch-hunters. The quality of the room is what makes it worth your Thursday evening.

This is the rule that makes the room work. Everyone in it (including David) operates by it. The moment it stops being true, the room stops being worth attending. It's enforced because it matters.

I spent over a decade in corporate leadership, managing teams, running high-value contracts, and consulting across multiple sectors. I know what it looks like when smart, capable people and businesses are working hard and still not getting the output they should. Usually it's not a talent problem. It's a systems problem.

I built the Real Business Club because I couldn't find the room I was looking for. A curated space for founders, owners, and solopreneurs where honest conversation is the point and nobody is performing at the door.

Questions people ask before applying.

Who gets in and who doesn't?
The bar is intent and behaviour, not revenue. You need to be actually running or building a business: founders, owners, solopreneurs. There to give as well as get, and not there to pitch the room. No recruiters, no sales hunters. If that's you, apply.
Why is it free?
Because the value of the room comes from who's in it, not what's charged at the door. The priority right now is building a room worth being in. Additional offerings will come in time for members who want more. The monthly meetup stays free.
I've been to networking events before and they were useless. Why is this different?
Because the things that make most networking useless (no structure, no curation, everyone pitching) are the things this was explicitly designed to remove. Real Talk gives every person genuine input on their real problem. The curation means the room is full of people who are actually building. The one rule is enforced from the start. If it stops working like that, you stop coming. That's fair.
Do I have to come to every event?
No. Life happens. What makes the Club work is the people who keep coming back, so repeat attendance is what we want, not perfect attendance. If you come twice and decide it's not for you, you leave. No awkward emails.
Will anyone try to sell me something?
No. Give first, no pitching is the one rule and it applies to everyone in the room. It's not a suggestion. If it gets broken (by a member or by David) that's a problem. The rule is what makes the room safe to be honest in.
What if I'm not based in London?
The Club is London-first. If you're close enough to come in for a monthly evening, apply. If there's enough demand in other cities, chapters are part of the longer-term plan, but the London format comes first.
